DAYTRIPPIN' - Ghost Town

by Brenda Nelson January. 27, 2012 3111 views

Yesterday, I posted the old buildings in the ghost town of Rush, which was once a thriving zinc mining community. There were so many smaller bits and pieces of the town that I found interesting - I hope you do, too!

Only three walls remained in this old brick building and most of these shots came from there

This small moss covered the north side of the floor in the old structure

Can see by this set you had great fun wandering, looking, and shooting!! Fantastic finds, Brenda....I especially love the vine-covered rock walls and the stone steps!!

What a wonderful stone wall... old ones like this have so much personality compared to a foundation today which would be completely uniform.

The absence of summer foliage and color makes this place look even more dismal! Nice set!

Nice set, Brenda. Like the rusty bolt and the moss. Especially like the first photo and the tree in the second is so gray, it looks like a ghost.

An interesting variety of shots. I love the moss...the green color seems so bright this time of year against all the browns of winter. Thanks for taking us on your adventure Brenda!
