“The land you are crossing…is a land of mountains and valleys that drinks RAIN from HEAVEN.”
(The Holy Bible: Deuteronomy 11:11)

For 5 days, Larry and I are hosting two 14-year old boys (Kyle and Tayton) from West Texas, where the land is flat and dry. They were amazed by our mountains and lakes. And the first day they arrived for their regional baseball tournament, it came a huge rain storm, which we needed SO badly, because of the drought conditions where we live!

We sat on the patio and watched the storm roll in, dump over an inch of rain, then head on southward! Now for the next 10 days, it's going to be dry with highs of 100 degrees once again. But, thank you, LORD, for the refreshing rain you sent on Thursday!

Have a wonderful and restful Sunday (although I'll probably be at a ballfield in 105 temperatures!)

Early that morning, the skies gave the promise of rain during the afternoon

Finally, the clouds began to gather….

We could see rain in the distance, but not near our house, until….

…the winds began to blow and the clouds got darker!

Then, just as quickly as it came, it was gone!

Ahhhhhh God is good! The heavens opened up around here too and dumped enough water to revive some of the crops. It seems as soon as all the irrigation pipes are laid and the pumps started, it's the signal for a cloud burst....lol
      Wonderful captures Brenda!
