"CAVERNS in the ROCKS"

(The Holy Bible - Isaiah 2:21)

Have a wonderful and restful Sunday.

"They will flee to caverns in the rocks and to the overhanging crags from the fearful presence of the LORD and the splendor of His majesty, when He rises to shake the earth."

“Draperies” or “Curtains”

Stalagmites

These are often called “bacon strips”

A “column” is made when the stalactites and the stalagmites meet

The Battleship formation

Blanchard Caverns is a living cave system with water which continues to grow and prosper the formations. Here are several newer stalactites and one larger broken one.

“The Nursery” of smaller stalactites that constantly drip, calcify, and elongate

The colors are created by the limestone (white) and iron (red) that seep from the ground level into the caverns
