On the first night, our daughter's family treated us to a ballgame between the St. Louis Cardinals and the Chicago Cubs. There was a little breeze and perfect temperatures for this great rivalry! Busch Stadium is one of the newest and most beautiful in major league baseball - the home of the St. Louis Cardinals. You can see the famous “Arch” in the background, along with its reflection on the outfield grass! In the middle of modern highrises was the stately old courthouse building that was the site of the famous Civil War trial on slavery, called the Dred Scott Decision. The last time we were at Busch Stadium was for the now-classic “6th Game”, when the Cardinal won their 11th World Series in 2011! We had stayed in the Millennium Hotel, right beside the Arch.
