"OOPS!"

No, the pilots who flew it into the wrong airport did NOT get to fly it out - they're grounded!

Last night a Southwest 737 jet landed at the wrong airport in Branson, Missouri! While we were in Branson today, we just happened to be about a mile away from the small airport where they were going to attempt to get the plane airborne again!

Hand-held and zoomed all the way out!

It got the engines revved up all the way, then shot down the runway

The airstrip stops just as the foreground building ends!

It was pretty exciting to watch it go to the very end of the short runway, rush down the strip, and zoom into the air - in only about 5 seconds!

It went right over us who were watching in a church parking lot!

Then it was headed north - and gone!

How amazing is that - no mean feat to get a plane that size up so quickly!

We just heard this story on the news!! Thanks for the great shots Brenda! How in the world they didn't notice that it was a little short runway in the middle of nowhere is beyond anyone's imagination! Glad they are grounded.
