Images of Caribbean Cruise with my Son & his Cohorts

by Jay Boggess March. 09, 2017 1397 views

Some shots taken on a cruise with my Son, in the Caribbean Sea. He was speaking at a meeting of fellow podcasters, who have gathered to exchange ideas and network with one another, while enjoying a little R&R.

Early morning on one of the very top passenger levels, where you can run or walk on the track that encircles the ship or just relax & enjoy the view & get some rays.

There were 3 pools and 10 hot tubs all around this deck where you could also watch a movie on the Jumbo Screen.

Wider shot of the same deck with folks watching the movie, while relaxing by one of the pools.

Here is another pool where it's a little more intimate for folks who want a less traffic.

Another view with a couple of hot tubs to the bottom right and also the Sky Lounge, on the top passenger level, featuring a panoramic view.

That first shot is outstanding! When I went on a cruise, the first thing I did each morning was fun to the top deck. Sunrises were always a highlight

Thanks, Kenny! Sun rises & sunsets are so dramatic, when at sea! Since I started becoming more serious about photography, my camera get's me out of bed and outdoors, to be sure to see the rising and setting of the sun, every day.........weather permitting, of course....

Thanks, Sis!
Wouldn't that be nice!
Maybe they'd let me cruise for free, if I give them some promo shots they'd like!!

I am not so keen on cruises, have been on two, doubt I'll try a third. Have visited the Carribean several times ... but very little to see apart from turquoise sea! Mxx

Thanks, Emilia! I would highly recommend it! I'm looking forward to going again! I've heard of some folks who actually live onboard, like having a mobile permanent residence that does the traveling for you! I'm sure it's pretty expensive, though.......sigh....

Thanks, Shimna! That was my first experience on such a huge vessel! It's amazing to have a hotel that carries you from place to place! Nice to board the ship, put your belongings in a room and never have to move them again until it's time to get off!

I can see how I could get used to the lifestyle! I love how, instead of having to move from hotel to hotel, your hotel does the work for you!

One retired lady uses, I think Carnival lines as a home. She moves from ship to ship if she wants to go somewhere different but often takes the same cruise over and over, many times never leaving the ship. She found that it was cheaper than a retirement home and much better service. She's worked out some kind of deal with the ship line. Sounds like fun to me.

A well-deserved break, Jay! This place looks so big, I am really surprised as I have never set foot in one of these things.
I have only seen the pictures from outside. Thanks for taking us inside with your story!

#1 to my favorites. Love the leadings lines. How did those clouds manage to originate from your converging point? a great photo and composition overall. Thanks for sharing.
