Great series - really gives a nice feeling for what life is like in your part of the world. We traveled around there about 20 years ago - up the Olympic peninsula from Seattle ferrying up into Victoria Island and Vancouver in a rented RV. Hope to return someday, but in the meantime, I'll just keep checking in on your posts! grinning

Thank You!
I moved here from the Texas Panhandle about 15 years ago, after visiting on a road trip.
It was such a contrast to the flat, featureless, waterless high plains of north west Texas.
I fell in love with the climate, mountains and ocean.......
I'll always be a Texan, but for now, the Olympic Peninsula is home......
Thanks for stoping by!

Oh Jay - another interesting series to view. The first two remind of Duluth, Minnesota. It always makes me awestruck to see the gigantic ships.   ...I just love that dog!!!  Thanks for sharing!

#1 - busy with safety first  and no smoking! I love the colors.
#2 - indeed a little bit "jumpy".
Harbor and hill - a nice place for a "morning crawl" with a camera - I like the series very much!

Everything is so easy here......No traffic to speak of; nice easy going people; plenty of parking, wherever you go; low cost of living; fresh air; beautiful scenery; affordable utilities; no air conditioning needed, even in the middle of summer; I could go on.......

Thanks, Peter!

Thanks, Francesc! I love our little town (~20K population), especially since it's right on the water (Strait of Juan de Fuca: body of water going between Vancouver Island, Canada & the northern shore of Washington state) where I can watch lots of marine traffic, whales, seals, otters, all manner of seabirds (herons, gulls, ducks, geese, hawks & eagles). To the immediate south lie the Olympic Mountain Range & Olympic National Park (~1,000,000 acres). Entrance to the park is just about a mile from my front door. Following the main road into the park takes you to the top of Hurricane Ridge ~5,000 ft above sea level (approx. 15 miles from my house) At the top is the Ranger station/visitor center/observation area/trailheads/ etc. From my house, at almost sea level, to the Hurricane Ridge at ~ 5,000 feet takes about 1/2 hour. For more info on Hurricane Ridge, you can go here:
