The fireworks were launched from a barge, anchored in the harbor, just below my deck!

The tree on the left is in my neighbor's yard and the lights along the bottom are boats in the harbor, watching the show.....

Just under the explosion, is the "launchpad" barge, in the harbour, where they take off, looking down from my deck....Sorry for the motion blur in these...I was shooting, hand-held, at a pretty long shutter speed, but I think they look kind of Kool, nevertheless.....

It was indeed!!! My deck was so close to where they launched the fireworks, that some debris from the explosions were falling close by!
Thanks, Sis!

ps...thanks for "liking & favoring" the images, as well!

They really look cool! I think the motion blur makes them more alive than completely frozen and rigid fireworks pics. Well done !

Lucky you. I love the blurriness of these images. Gives them authenticity

I'm so glad you can appreciate the results of my non-traditional (lazy) methods.....
Like my dear old friend used to say, when things turn out better than he expected:

Thanks, Kenny!
It was an amazing experience to see them so close! Kind of a challenge trying to follow them as they left the launching pad, climbed up through the sky, to finally explode overhead! Handheld, with pretty long exposure, needed to get the light, resulted in some kind of cool effects.....Great to hear from You, Amigo!
Cheers!

It was ultra exciting to be so close!
The force of the explosions rattled my heart against my ribcage!

Yeah, the barge in the harbour, where they launched, was right below my deck!
It was truly a first row seat!

Thanks, Amigo! Since the display didn't really lend itself to tripod shooting, I had some motion blur, but I don't think it detracted too badly from the main focal points! Happy Saturday & Sunday to You & Yours, as well!
