Anonymous Rock Sculpture found On the Ediz Hook this Morning

by Jay Boggess August. 13, 2019 262 views

There is a narrow strip of land (Ediz Hook, see Wikipedia) that separates the Inner Harbor from The Strait of Juan de Fuca at Port Angeles, WA, USA. The Strait side is lined with big chunks of rock, that prevent erosion, from the constant action of the waters in the Strait. I found this anonymous sculpture on the rock wall, recently. I thought you might like it........as I did.....

Pretty kool "balancing act", which I found this morning, performed by some anonymous "artist". Many times art works like this appear for a day or two......I liked it, especially against the early morning sky light..........

On our shores there are also some temporary sculptures like this one. Very cool idea.

Thanks, Amigo!
This time of year, we have lots of vacationing visitors, from all over the world......
These are probably their works of spontaneous art....
In any case I love to see them & share.....
Cheers!

ps... thanks for "liking & saving" the image, as well!

Beautiful! The colors on the rocks remind me of the night sky - perfect with the colorful background!

Thanks, Bethany!
The colors are what attracted me, too!
Especially, the contrast between the dark rocks and the buttery golden morning sky...

That is a cool sculpture. Reminds me a bit of an alien landscape or maybe city that is far off in the distance.

Looks a bit alien to me, and your edit enhances this.

Thanks, my friend!
I agree.......
Maybe it was placed there by aliens, for some unknown purpose.......
I'll keep a close eye on it, for any "clues"........smile

It is really cool how they seem to balance each other so well and you are correct, the early morning light makes this sculpture stand out. You know people would pay thousands of dollars for this if it were in an art museum. Nice catch Jay smile

So glad this meets with your approval....
Thanks for the vote of confidence, as well!
I made up my mind that I would never try to make money from this hobby,
simply because I never want to, potentially, turn something I love into a "job".....
with deadlines and all the other mandatory considerations that come along with a profession....
Had my "belly full" of all that, most of my life......smile

this is a crafty one, looks like it took a little physics to get them balanced right.. but especially love the colours.. your photographed it well.. it could be on a yoga room wall.. :)

The colors attracted me, as well
Thanks for the compliment, Sis!
My "Sweetie" has been practicing/teaching yoga for over 50 years,
so maybe I'll see if she would like a copy for her studio wall.......
thanks for the suggestion!
Cheers!
