Prisoners of our own Darkness

It doesn’t matter how many people like your posts,

How many people you know in life.

At the end of the day,

We must each face our own black holes alone.

No one can sit with you through all your pains,

No one can give you your truth.

You have to earn it,

Through spending time in paralysing fear.

Fame is for the foolish,

It is a distraction for us and them.

It takes us away from noticing whats real,

Those uncomfortable feelings which creep up on us.

The ones that make you wonder if you are a fraud,

The ones that make you wonder if your dreams are a cruel game of self betrayal.

Life is not easy and often not fair, but it's also full of joy and happiness. (Mine at least.) Hopfully yours also !!

Sometimes life can be a dark place but we have to rebel against it
