Romania was our first holiday together, and all the memories we shared that weekend are irreplaceable.
We landed in Cluj Napoca on the 3rd, late in the afternoon, therefore we had very little time to explore. The next day, after very little sleep and waking up way too early, we started our drive down to Brașov and Râșnov. It was a Saturday morning, the streets were empty, and we were very excited to be crossing a country like Romania, yet we still found a lot of traffic due to major road works. The waiting time was ridiculous, however watching people skydive next to us was rather entertaining. Unfortunately, we missed out on a lot of great attractions, such as in Sighisoara and Râșnov because of limited time.
On the 5th, we went around Brașov. One of my greatest hobbies is enjoying a skyline view, and of course we could not miss Tâmpa. With an elevation of just 960m, we took a cable car up and got to observe the fantastic view from the mountain that holds the Hollywood-like Brașov sign, and which offers a panoramic view of the city, extended to Burzenland.
