Me the Farrier

by Marzena Jozefczyk December. 09, 2010 3612 views

After several nasty experiences with different farriers (including the hole in the hoof that you can see on photos #1) I decided to learn hoof trimming.
And for a month now I'm trimming my horses hoofs myself. So you will have to watch the effects here from time to time.

Front right

Front left
We had a huge flare here (already reduced). Both front hoofs are too narrow and the frogs are too small - we'll work on that.

Back right
The frogs in both back hoofs are quite pretty and big. The hoofs are a bit asymetric but it doesn't matter untill the hoof works properly.
