Day 11- Let's Go Out to the Kitchen

We know that there's probably a lot of long, cold winter left ahead of us, but we've been wishing for spring already. We can't wait to be able to take outdoor photos. Our day jobs mean that we don't get any shooting time during daylight and the cold, cold (did we say cold?) temperatures in the evenings make us want to keep our little shutter fingers nice and toasty warm at home. As such, we focused our lenses tonight into the room that most people would consider the most warm and vibrant room of their house- the kitchen!

Hask confesses that she has a bizarre love for tomato stems, including their unique scent. Not to be outdone by the awesome colour and flavour of the fruit itself (or some may argue veggie), tomatoes make for eye-catching photo fare.

Dro captured this image of one of the cacti that happily reside on our kitchen's window sill. With only a couple of panes of glass separating them from the snow outside, they thrive nicely in the kitchen and remind us that it is sunny and warm somewhere. Just not here!
