A year ago we participated in a photography course that was held by our city's recreation department. While we had been using a DSLR for some time before then, we wanted an opportunity to meet some other photo enthusiasts and learn some new skills. The course was an introduction to photography and was mostly focused on the basics, so while it did not introduce us to a lot of new material, it was certainly beneficial. That course marked the first time we really approached photography together and it got us motivated to shoot on a more regular basis.
The course was mostly classroom work, but it did include one fieldtrip to practice what we'd learned in class. The fieldtrip was at a location known as Dingle Park in Halifax and most of the shooting was concentrated around an area that had a small waterfall.
With today marking the 100th day of our photoblog, we got to thinking about that first fieldtrip and thought it would be appropriate to head back to where we got our start.

Hask snapped some quickly flowing water rushing over rocks at Dingle Park in Halifax.

Dro used a longer exposure to photograph the motion of the water.
breath taking!
