Day 104- Bloomers

Ok, so we may have fibbed a bit. Yesterday we predicted that the majority of our shots for the week would be taken after dark and we blathered on about how much we've been using our tripod. As you can see, today's photos were most certainly taken during daylight and as for the tripod- well, our little three-legged friend was nowhere to be seen.

The level of unpredictability in our project is one of the things that keeps it exciting for us. While we keep a little journal of potential photo techniques or places to try shooting, we use it more as a resource for days when we're feeling uninspired as opposed to a planner to organize shots in advance.

Today, Hask finished work before the sun was down, so we decided to shoot straight away. We headed toward an interesting church that we had seen on our city's heritage website but when we got there and parked the car, it was not the church that grabbed our attention. Directly across the street was a small memorial garden in bloom. The brightly coloured petals that were peppered in little droplets from afternoon rain were enough to stop us in our tracks. We shall have to save the church for another day.

Hask was excited to shoot these blooms as our garden at home is still budding.

Dro photographed this tulip, still covered in rain droplets from this afternoon.

Lovely shots...the first one is in my fave list.
this is the kind of pictures I want to take, but since rain is not so common here that's why I need to just wait for my vacation : )

I love the first one! The colors, the depth of field, the water drops, all perfect!

Good choice. Structures are permanent, flowers fading. Both photos have nice and lighting.
