Day 144- May Two-Four

Today was the Victoria Day Holiday here in Canada and it is also affectionately known as May Two-Four. Although the traditional long weekend activities include camping and fishing, we decided to stay in town and were able to enjoy all of our evenings with friends and family.

With Monday usually being a work day, we were happy to have the day off. We were able to sleep in a little and then got our day off to a great start by hitting the trail near our house for a nice walk to enjoy the sunny weather. Along the trail there was a good variety of greenery but it was fitting that our attention was caught by the maple leaf on account of the national holiday today and the maple leaf's symbolic ties to Canada.

Hask snapped this photo of a maple leaf floating in the shallow water near the shore of Albro Lake in Dartmouth.

Dro captured the same maple leaf cupped in Hask's hands.

Seems that Hask serves as a prop for Dro often! I really like the leaf and the river bottom! Great thinking to shot a maple leaf because of it's significants. j
