Day 160- On Pins and Needles

Today we had a tragic camera occurrence. While we were packing our gear to head out for our daily photo, it was noticed that our trusty 50D wouldn't format the card in the CF slot. This had never happened before and we initially thought we might've had a case of a card gone bad. Unfortunately, a quick inspection showed that the problem appears to be a bent pin inside the CF slot itself. Since the card slot is narrow without any room to really jostle the memory card or insert it incorrectly, we're a little puzzled as to how this happened and we're hoping it won't be a painfully expensive repair. The slot is far too deep to risk any at-home-Macgyver-style repair efforts.

The moral of the story is that our daily-used DSLR is now going to have to make a trek to the repair shop to see about getting fixed up. In the meantime, we grabbed our point and shoot and our old school Kodak Duaflex to take some quick TtV shots in the Dartmouth Public Gardens.

Hask snapped a photo of this gazebo, originally constructed in 1892.

Dro captured the view of the Halifax skyline from inside the gazebo above.

I'll be glad when you get your camera back 'cause these images stink! Just kidding. They do take me back in time when your results are what we expected.
