Sometimes it is easy to stand before a scenic landscape and select one point of interest to photograph. If there is a beautiful sunset lighting up the western sky, it almost seems counterintuitive to look in any other direction for inspiration. However, we have found that there is always something else to be seen, you may just have to look a little harder. We try to remain conscious of the fact that there's a full 360 degrees of world around us, and it's full of interesting subjects in every direction.
Today's photos, like many recently, were taken just after sunset. We shot from the same location but by looking in opposite directions we found very different results.

Hask snapped a lone long strand of grass bobbing in the evening breeze as the moon rose in the eastern sky.

Dro captured Halifax's MacKay Bridge silhouetted against the pastel tones of the post-sunset western sky.
Love the softness and subtlety of #1.
