Day 251- Double Dribble

We often like to try new techniques to explore different ways to use our camera. Sometimes we like a technique so much that we like to revisit it and throw in little twists to see how they affect the final image.

Such is the case with shooting water droplets. We tried this technique recently [photoblog.com] and were pleased with the results. We wanted to revisit the setup but make a few small changes and that was what we set out to do today. We tried experimenting with different vessels for the drips to land in and we also used Gatorade instead of water to see how the coloured liquid would photograph.

Hask used red Gatorade and a background of purple paper to achieve this look.

Dro photographed this droplet of purple Gatorade against a white backdrop.

Dro also photographed this droplet of purple Gatorade, desaturating the image for a different look.
