arriving by ferry

Many cities exude a lifestyle of health and happiness, a pleasure for residents and visitors alike. Victoria is very much one of such cities. The capital of British Columbia, Canada is calm, pretty and the joy you get from visiting the city just seems to do the body and soul well. There also seems to be a certain allure or element of fantasy that comes with a city that you can arrive by boat,  or even more so by seaplane.

One thing that also impressed me is the fact that Western Canada puts a lot of effort in including Aboriginal art in its public spaces. They do a great job of exposing this wonderful expression of an important part of  their culture and diversity, making the experience of visiting places such as Victoria even more rich and interesting. I think this is something the rest of country could learn from.
