Just another day in paradise… One of the Jardineros preparing a young coconut for consumption. Young coconuts are green and are filled with a watery liquid and a chewy meat. Older coconuts are brown and have the milky liquid and firm meat. All of the chopping is done with a machete with the coconut held in the hand. I liked that this one has the machete in mid-chop.
