Parents turning into grandparents

by Susan October. 17, 2009 769 views

we told my parents via Skype as they don't live in our area. Needless to say they were over the moon. It will be their 3rd grandchild. We told Jazz's parents in person and they were equally as excited. It will be there first grandchild. We bought these books for our parents to give them at a certain point. They are meant for them to write stuff in there about themselves, how they grew up, what they want for their grandchildren etcetera.

What a lovely idea - I wish books like that had been round in my day, so many stories that I wish I knew now.

I bought one of those books (well, similar, it wasn't in dutch) for my parents - must see how they are going.

I love these books. Although we don't have similar stuff here, you've just given me a great idea for a gift. Thank you!

Those books are a fabulous idea. I sometimes think it's sad that family stories/history gets lost along the generations.
