Tonight was the first of two “days” of night shooting for a Japanese-language B&W film adaptation of Ernest Hemingway's “The Killers,” set in post-war Japan. Here, the crew sets up a fake rain machine outside the teriyaki house that we transformed into a 1940s Japanese noodle shop.
