Siliguri is a city located in the Darjeeling district and Jalpaiguri district in the Indian state of West Bengal. Siliguri is located on the banks of the Mahananda River and the foothills of the Himalayas. It is a principal commercial, tourism, transportation, and educational center of North Bengal. As of 2011, the city had 7 lakh residents. It is the second largest city in Northeast India after Guwahati and the fourth largest in West Bengal after Kolkata,Durgapur and Asansol. It lies 42 kilometers away from Jalpaiguri, which is its twin city. The city has become an important trade center of West Bengal. The city hosts over 20,000 domestic and 15,000 foreign visitors annually. Siliguri being a commercial hub for North Bengal, it draws migrants from other states who come in search of livelihood. It is also the transit point for air, road and rail traffic to the neighboring countries of Nepal, Bhutan and Bangladesh, and to the North East. It is famous for its four ‘T’s: tea, transport, tourism and timber. In 2011, Siliguri witnessed an economic boom in the organized retail, hospitality and real estate industries due to population growth and its strategic geographical location.

And most importantly its my Home-town. Its the place I belong from…I love it and I am proud of it.

#3 is full of drama and #4 is full of color! What a wonderful place to call your home! I've always dreamed of seeing the region of the Himalayas, but I think I'm a little too old now! Although, I get to enjoy them through your remarkable photos!

It's a shame that they aren't larger. I like the dramatic effect of that clouds in #2 and #3

Your watermark is too big and ruins the pictures IMHO.
