Today is Saturday, and I am supposed to be cleaning up my apartment… but the DEC was calling and I couldn't resist. I've always wanted to make an image based on H.G. Wells' “War of the Worlds”. I'm not sure why this week's photo of a little bird inspired me to finally do it.
The image editing was fairly straight forward, but it took a few hours to make the 3D model for the Martian tripod. The destroyed building is a photo I took in Halifax, Nova Scotia of an old hospital that was being demolished… by humans, not by aliens.
