Day 10 of 365 - Tom Bihn Bag

This weekend will be the first time I get to use a new purchase of mine, my Tom Bihn Bag. I??m very excited about this bag, it has a feature that I have been dreaming about since all the crazy 911 security changes. It is Check-Point friendly. This means I do not have to remove my laptop from my case to get through security. Rather the bag folds truly flat so the laptop is separate from the rest of the contents of the bag.

I??ve gone through numerous computer bags in my career. I??ve had the best luck with Kensington, but even those bags wear out after about five to seven years of use. I??ve also varied the size of my laptops over the year, from as small as nine inches to as large as seventeen. Right now, and for a very very long time, I??m using a MacBook Air. It has an incredible screen for such a small system, it??s also very light, which always makes for a better travel experience.

After getting the Air, I decided to try a Tom Bihn bag, I??d heard about them. They are legendary for their toughness and durability for true road warriors. It also has the flexibility to support laptops ranging from 13 to 17 inches. Now my hope is that this is the last bag I ever have to buy. As I packed it for the first time, I was impressed with it??s construction, the thing seems tough as nails. I won??t really know for at least a dozen trips how well it really performs, but I??m excited to give it a first trial.

So, with that in mind, here is to my bag, may it be the last I ever buy.

And so it goes…
