That's a lovely Twain quote. As for the politicians... aren't they the same everywhere? There are days when a vision of a good, educated king/queen comes to my mind and does not go easily... I have to think of all the iron-fisted and bone-headed rulers in order to get out of this state. Churchill's quote on democracy is touche... comedians, failures and parasite are all over our parliaments. Sigh.
