Strawberry sponge cake

This is a very simple recipe. You will need:
1 cup sugar
1and 1/4 cup flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 cup of boiling water
and strawberries - lots of them:)
Preheat owen to 180 degrees celsius
Beat 5 egg yolks until light , then gradually beat in the sugar. When very thick stir in the boling water.
In a separate bowl beat the egg whites until firm and fold in the egg yolk mixture alternating with the flour (I hope you already mixed together the flour with the baking powder!) Work careful, be gentle as possible:)
Divide batter into two pans and bake about 20 -25 minutes.
Let the cakes cool a couple of minutes then turn out to wire racks to let them cool completely.
Spread a thin layer of raspberry marmalade on the cake and add sliced raspberries. Eat right away:)
For most success use fresh strawberries from your local farmers market - not the ones that had to travel 1000 km to make it to your table:)
