It's Not All Rice and Spice

Warning: This post contains pictures of delicious food. I am not responsible for any damage to electronic devices due to drool and slobber caused by photographs.

Why be that person who takes pictures of all of their food? I LOVE FOOD.

Before coming to Thailand, I had very limited exposure to the kinds of food I would be seeing here. What did I expect? Really spicy food and to be eating rice all. the. time. Is this true? Somewhat. I do eat a lot of rice and some dishes can be very spicy (for my bland, Minnesota taste-buds at least.)

Some of my staple dishes are fried rice with chicken, rice and vegetable stir-fry, and an omelette on rice. I have not taken pictures of these, but I think they are pretty self explanatory. (If you are struggling without an image, Google may be your friend.)

A delicious spread of Indian food. Chicken Tikka Masala, Naan, and Mango Lassi for me.

Vietnamese spread. To be honest, I don't even know what half of what I ate is called, but it was delicious

These treats satisfy my sweet-tooth.

Rolled ice-cream with brownie bites and sugar cone pieces from the night bazaar.

Honey toast with banana, almond, and caramel drizzle.

One of my favorites that isn't pictured is roti. Roti is an unleavened, Indian bread. It can be topped and filled with jam, egg, cheese, and much more. My favorite kind of roti is with banana and crushed Oreo or Nutella.

Needless to say, I'm eating well and exploring foods beyond my comfort zone of Minnesota hotdishes.
