Before there was you...

This is the final set of pictures before the birth of baby boy Gonzales due to arrive on August 3rd, 2017. Thank you all for stopping by to check out the photos I really appreciate it!

Photography has been a hobby of mine that is for sure. I am not classically trained and my tag line came from a couple of guys at a bar that my husband was playing at and they had asked me about the camera I was using. When I told them it was a Sony one of the guys said that it was a "cheap camera". He was right, it was. It had cost about $200 and it had no viewfinder. However, I loved that camera and still have it. The camera I have now is by no means on the pricey list because just recently, I thought "well I am moving up in the world", however, I got knocked down again by a dude at the Red Barn in Palm Desert, CA. He asked the question, "What type of camera are you using?" I proudly replied, "Nikon D3400." He said, "I am a Navy (or maybe it was a Marine) photographer and I use a Nikon 7000." Again, I felt like a lowlife loser, but you know something, it really doesn't matter about the camera, well yes it does matter, you do want a good quality lens, what really matters is the eye and the vision behind it. Anyhow, my apologies for the rambling, this is a blog and I am blogging...Please enjoy the rest of the pictures of Ben, Cassidy, McKinley and baby to be.

Mothers choice. Cassidy picked this spot and she picked a winner!

I could watch these two play all day! Almost missed this shot!

The beauty of motherhood, even at 7 am in the morning.

I like having fun at the shoots. I want to catch natural smiles, even if I have to take 10 shots to get one good one. That morning my son was being my son. He is not one for taking pictures and he is a goofball like me. I love to share these with the clients.

He is already a step dad to McKinley and will be a first time Dad soon. Hard to believe he was just my baby not so long ago.

"I know you are in there!" Seems to be what McKinley is saying to her future baby brother.

I think photography is much more than the gear. It is about expressing your views, the way you see the world, and how you want the world to be seen. Besides you can look up what people do with cell phone cameras these days! I think if you have the eye and knows composition techniques you can do amazing things with the setup you have.
#7 I love this quote!
#5 I like this photo because it fills the frame.

I agree with you on the gear. It just gets me how I get comments from some people about mine.  However, I am still evolving in this love I have for capturing these little moments in time.  That's all we are really doing right?  Some people just do it more artistically.  I hope to get as skilled as you and the others I have seen in this site.  So happy to have found this place.  Thank you for your your comments. I liked that quote too!
