Lost & Found

I found myself last week. I had been searching for quite awhile. Somehow, back in the early nineties I packed my hopes and dreams away in a box and carried it around with me from place to place...Duarte, San Gabriel, Alhambra, Down Town Los Angeles, Highland Park, Echo Park and now Palm Desert, California. It tumbled out during a moment when I needed it. Things were not desperate, at least not yet. My body has been revolting against all that I love and that is food. I have however, lost some weight. That has been a plus. No luck on finding work, although I have not been looking as I have been on medical leave and it has been one obstacle after another just to get the paperwork signed so I can receive my state disability payment that I have worked for in my 47 years on this earth. It is not like I am just trying to collect "free money". So anyhow, I snapped, no pun intended. I have no clients, so I got my depressed, (yes, I am finally admitting it), self up and headed to my closet, got out the tripod and did my best to put on my own make up. It takes all that I have in me just to sit for more than 10 minutes to type as I do not like to take pain meds. The photos in this post is what I got from my selfies! Also, I do have a business partner, she too was not feeling it, so I did little shoot with her and guess what? We had a blast! I found me, we found us, we found fun!

Where ever you and who ever you are that is reading this, be fabulous!

Oh, and...me too...

Nothing glamorous about this. Cellulite, love handles, sad face.

The dress was bought at a Ross in 2003 for $18, the brooch was $6 from a thrift store, bubbles, $.99 Store, costume jewelry was donated by a friend and I woke up with that messy hair. The feeling I felt after i saw these shots...priceless.

Still working on this one but what a beauty I thought it was. She looks so free. I think I want to change this into a water color.

Good Job, Hang in there - This looks fun.
Do it again. Halloween is coming - look for some fun props and have a funkygrinning photo op.

Thanks Lisa!  I am doing much better after that mini melt down :) My business partner and I had a blast getting dressed up.  Amazing what it can do!

Can't wait for Halloween!
