I moved to the country

I am setting up a trail camera for bird watching.

Please enjoy this useless photo of a... wasp probably. They were enjoying my Oriole Jelly.

I was fidgeting with it last night and heard a band of coyotes singing at each other. I was awe struck... and then I retreated inside. I walked around in my wet sand mud to find exciting tracks! I'm no tracker but I'll include my best guesses.

red fox? Strike that. Update: rabbit

Coyote!

Coyote!

I re-positioned my camera to get more of my yard, hopefully I get a shot of them tonight.

Oh deer! Remember, they step into their own tracks.

have no idea what this track is. At first I thought owl, but the too many toes. So maybe a muskrat. (update: this might be a rabbit on the move! It would make sense, since the prints seemed to be alone).

Hopefully some good photos of birds and mammals to come. Cross my fingers for the coyote pack.

Welcome to the country.
