Cumberland Falls

Cumberland Falls in Kentucky is the only location in the Western hemisphere where one can regularly observe a moonbow. If you haven't seen or heard of a moonbow, it is what it sounds like it would be – a rainbow visible by the light of the full moon. These images were shot in July 2008.

The trip to Cumberland Falls was all the more fun because my sweetheart planned the whole thing and gave the trip to me as a gift, knowing I would love to shoot the moonbow. We enjoyed two days of hiking, shooting, laughing, and enjoying. What a gal I have!

I need to go back there soon! It is not like I am that far away, just hard to find the time. You know I love the first one but I have to say that the last one is my pick. I love the silky look!

That sounds like quite an experience... nicely done shots! Obviously the moonbow is special but I also really like the composition of the third shot.
