Flower Garden

This time of year many of us begin to long for the beginning of Spring, working in our yards, and enjoying the sights and smells of summer in our flower gardens.

This shot was an interesting experiment. I knew what I wanted, but it was much more challenging than I anticipated. Because I was using a VERY narrow depth of field and wanting to catch a Verbena petal in the air, I set up the tripod, focused, dropped a handful of petals, and snapped with my remote trigger release. I don't remember how many “takes” were required, but it was dozens.

I like the 2nd very much! Strange, in no 1 the flowers look torn and trashy and in no 2 they get beautiful. Good work!
