Hong Kong 3 - Victoria Harbour

by Mike R March. 27, 2009 376 views

Shots taken from Victoria Peak. According to Wikipedia, “The mountain is located in the western half of Hong Kong Island. With an altitude of 552 m (1,810 ft), it is the highest mountain on the island proper.”

It was a cloudy day with some rain (as seen in my rainy day shot posted a couple of days ago), so unfortunately the view was not as spectacular as usual. But it was still awesome.

Information about Victoria Harbour [en.wikipedia.org]

One takes a rail car up the side of the mountain, almost 1,800 ft. above the harbour.

Spectacular views that to the naked eye seem almost too vivid to be real.

Wished I had a panoramic camera.

Hot, humid, and sprinkling rain from time to time. Someone get this boy some WATER!

I found the biggest bottle of water on the island and had at it. The fellow in the background had his own bottle of water and looks sympathetic.
