Austin

Some of the lovely views in Austin.  I had a perfect hotel room with a fantastic view of downtown Austin.  A wonderful 40th birthday gift to myself...a weekend by myself :-)

I took some photos of downtown Austin, a while back, also. If you want to see them on this site, go to:

Enjoy!

These are fantastic! Makes me long for the days when I was @ the University of Texas in Austin, back in the sixties (Hippy Daze) where I earned my undergraduate degree.....Graduate school was done at Texas Tech University in Lubbock.....

Thanks! Oh wow...so then you are very familiar with Austin. I've been to Lubbock once right after high school with a friend who was going to Tech. Interesting little town.

You're welcome!
Yeah, I still have lots of friends there and make a point on including a visit everytime I go see my kids in Dallas!

Me too, Ram...
My most recent iteration was as a nationally board-certified counselor....working mainly with young people in lockup or with police at domestic disturbances....
Nowadays, I'm retired from all "official capacities".....

It was very interesting and never a dull moment, however seeing & having to deal with all those troubled lives, does take it's toll, after a while, so I'm happy to be retired......Now I can devote most of my time to more positive pursuits, in the company of happier people! Hallelujah!!!
