Aliens 120/365

I'm going off prompt here today. Last night I was playing taxi driver taking my kids back and forth to events.  I didn't have my DSLR with me but did have my cell phone.  I immediately noticed this weird formation in the sky which looked to me like an alien tendril coming down from the sky.  You can see the normal contrail of the plane on the left.  I have never seen a formation like this one before.  It's too large for a normal contrail and weird that it just stops in the sky. Normally people aren't noticing things I notice but there were several people pulled off snapping pictures of this. Conspiracy theories abound...alien, rocket, weather phenomenon (the weather was really crazy yesterday)? Have you seen anything like this before?

Well worth going off prompt. Never seen one before, and you did a nice job of capturing it.

I think it might be an older contrail. I've seen them spread out like this, when there are strong winds aloft......Other than that, No clue here! Good eye!

Probably so...I've just never seen one so big and puffy like that. :-)

This one is truly amazing. Kind of "Independence Day" special effect. It looks like a kind of a sky worm trail
