Between party preparations I've spent some time practicing with my 100mm lens. A friend of mine who is a new realtor wants me to take her headshots for her. (Which I'm incredibly excited about and really nervous about too). I have had this lens for 2 months now and was confused by the focus issues I was having with it. It finally occurred to me to check the lens calibration and lo and behold...the new lens was severely back-focusing. I feel a little silly that it didn't occur to me earlier. Here's a mish mash of practicing...with a rather un-invested 9 year old.

It was drizzling and gloomy...I find shady days make for flat pictures and dreary skin tones.
