My daughter loves art and it makes me so happy to see it. The only downside is there's so much of it and I can't keep it all.

I love it!
Try to encourage her express all she wants......without making too much of a fuss about it, because if you cross the line between appreciation of her talent and pushing her to do more & more, there's the chance for burn-out & natural contrariness that results, in many cases,  when parents get too pushy.......right????

Totally agree...she is self motivated to do all of her art.  I have all the supplies and she's free to make whatever she wants.  I recently ended up with at least 25 of her paintings on a single Saturday.  We hung a few and the rest quietly made their way to the trash, lol.

Like mother, like daughter, both talented. I know what you Stephanie, I have a cedar chest full ( literary full) with both kids's "art' stuff and my kids are up there age wise. Yet I can't seem to get myself to get rid of them.

It is hard to part with for sure.  I sneak away in the dead of night to the trash sometimes to dispose of things she's just left laying around.  I figure if I keep one or two and trash the rest she is happy and generally doesn't notice the other ones missing.

Aw, that's too bad Peter.  She's at that age where mom and dad don't need to be in all her business...not looking forward to those days.  My oldest is just beginning that stage.
