The Binturong, also known as the bearcat lives in South and Southeast Asia. In 2008 the Binturong was listed as vulnerable on the IUCN Red List. Their population continues to decline. This decline is mainly due to habitat loss from deforestation. Binturongs are also sold and traded illegally.

Was this taken in a zoo or in the wild? From the background, it looks like an artificial enclosure to me but I'm not sure.
