June 6th

Our final full-day in Tassie, a quick visit to the Cascade Brewery in Hobart then a couple of hours in the car to Launceston for the night before flying home to Sydney tomorrow.

Thanks...yeah, we were just passing through this small town & I loved the image of the two old cars outside the weatherboard home so I had to stop for a photo.

Yeah, it's still going.  It was established in 1832, which is pretty old for Australia!  'White' Australian history, at least, since the original inhabitants are one of the oldest races on the planet.  The brewery is actually the oldest continually operating brewery in Australia.

Was it good??? If it's like the USA, the old brews are fading into extinction, being replaced by the myriad of new craft brews available everywhere....

Yeah, it's much the same here in Australia, we're spoilt for choice with our craft & boutique beers now, so old brews like Cascade have to keep coming up with new ideas to keep the punters buying it.
