The Purge

Entry 4: 10 pound of stuff in a 1 pound bag

10 pounds of crap meets the 1 pound bad

10 pounds of crap meets the 1 pound bad

The great purge of 2019, no it is not another sequel in the “Purge” movie franchise.

When we moved in here 14 years ago we had another house, so we stored all our stuff and in the last 14 years have acquired yet another house full of stuff. Now to reconcile and sort through things to donate, sell, pack (for storage until we have a permanent home) and things to through away.

Downsizing is something we have to do as well, making our foot print smaller and that is not a joke about my height or is it?

I am crushing your head...

I am crushing your head...

I feel like a kid upset about giving up his old toys, but I just need to keep telling myself it is just stuff, and although I plan on out lasting “Twinkies” and “Cockroaches” in the long run I can’t take it with me.

This Elvis cockroach photo is not mine, but it is funny, thanks for the loan.

they are Twinkies . . . Duhhh

they are Twinkies . . . Duhhh

Not a lot to say in this entry, it is the long part and probably the most uninteresting part of this adventure I embark on, it’s sort of like watching paint dry or watching grass grow

It's Grass and it's growing

It's Grass and it's growing

Until Then This Fitzy: Legion of Decency . . . Retired

Signing off to pack another bag.

PLEASE! PLEASE! PLEASE! Can you come over when you are done at your place and purge my stuff? PLEASE! PLEASE!!
I promised myself last year, after retiring and having all this time on my hand, that I would get rid of the accumulation. The whole scene lasted one hour. I took a look at the kids' toys and books and crap and crap and just could not separate myself ( mind you kids are in the 30s now). The blurb kept popping in my head " what if you get rid of them and then you find that you need them?" So needless to say nothing, OK maybe one bag of clothes was purged.  Maybe I will try this purge game when my husband retires in 3 years or maybe we will just leave all the crap for the kids, I am sure they will be very appreciative 😜

i grew up on these local boys.. so you just made my morning..
and
over the years i've had to downsize.. being homeless, moving so many times.. i just started leaving more and more stuff behind.. now everything i own fits into 4 totes.. i have my own home now and it still hasn't sunk in that i can collect stuff again.. :)
