One of many fascinating gates.

One of many fascinating gates.

Travelling through the Boquete area of Panama today was filled with endless scenes with endless photographic opportunities. With every curve of the narrow road which winds up and down the mountainous region, the green lush jungle-like vegetation rolls on as far as the eye can see. Every so often, there will be a break in the greenness with a gate, driveway or a beautiful mansion or small modest home tucked into the hillside.

As you travel along the roads whether more formal or gravel, there is always water in evidence and even if you cant see the water, one can always hear the sound of the moving water.

Whether you are a photographer or a local, there are so many sights to behold along the way. From picturesque scenery, vibrant colours, old gates, rustic buildings, modern and old combined often across the road from each other - there are many photo opportunities. The main animals that one spots during your travels in Panama especially in the more rural areas is roosters, hens, goats, dogs, cats, cows and many horses.
