A Time to be Thankful

Firstly Happy Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family !

I have been reading quite a few emails and facebook messages about things to be thankful for today and it got me thinking. (As my Mum would always say "thats a dangerous thing.")

I think we often take so many things for granted and sometimes just need a kick in the leg to make us realise how the small things can be so utterly amazing.

Since selling up our entire worlds - lock stock and no smoking barrels and moving to our new land, it is amazing how even tiny things become so very special to a person.

In our old lives, the kindness of strangers was seldom seen so when we arrived here – we were quite blown away with being inundated with others wanting to lend a hand in any way they can. How even just a smile can go such a long way especially since English is very rare here.

Each day we enjoy the rain, the butterflies, the birds, the sights and smells of our new land and love every moment of it. We know that we have a long way to go with our settling in period, so each day we take things one step at a time and smile while we do it. A lot of people may think we are totally nuts but we have found our own paradise and that is all that matters.

So whatever your Thanksgiving Day looks like - whether a huge homemade meal with friends and family or just a small plate with your best bud, may the feelings that surround your day continue for many many more days.

Feel free to share my blog posts.

Stay Fabulous !! Much Love, Jennifer
