I love shooting film.
I was actually at CES Last week, and stopped by the Kodak booth not long after the announcement was made and I will tell you the Kodak people are excited, and so where the few others around. But from what I gather they are mainly bringing it back for their new line of Super 8 movie cameras (which are very cool by the way) and we still Photographers are simply enjoying a side benefit.... and I for one am not complaining Ektachrome is a gorgeous stock, and I look forward to shooting a lot of it.
But of course me being me, I had to ask about Kodachrome.. and I got a very interesting non-answer, and then low and behold yesterday I saw an article in which one of the exec's at Kodak says they are looking into what it would take to bring back Kodachrome.. So I have the feeling if the super 8 business does well enough for them, (as well as the still film) we may have not 1 but 2 legendary slide films make a return from the dead.
