I’ll go first!

Hello All, My name is Ram, I am a photography enthusiast from Canada. Photography has always been a medium for storytelling for me. I like interpreting and trying to figure out the story behind a shot. I am a member of the PhotoBlog family and I stumble upon it while searching for a place to tell the stories behind my own photos. You can see my photo blog at https://www.photoblog.com/canon6d

When I am not tinkering with PhotoBlog, I like to read (mainly biographies and novels) or go on a backcountry camping trip.

My dream place or thing to photograph? Rockie Mountains, Alberta, Canada! I love the mountain air and the majestic views of this place

Hello Ram, nice to meet you. I am ArtBee I have been a member of this PhotoBlog Family since 2008. I have not been active for quite some time. I have noticed there have been some changes. It is great to see that Photoblog is up and running with a new Administrator and a new Format. This site has seen many changes through the years, some good and some not so good. With that being said I hope I can navigate my way around and get to know how to use this new way of storytelling.
I am a photography enthusiast too!
Thank You for Your Interest in keeping This Wonderful Community Storytelling with their Amazing :camera: Photos…

Aloha friends, I’m Tiffany, a photographer and writer who calls Hawaii home. I’m fond of nature and think that’s something that shows in my work. I like to work on marine conservation projects and I am currently working–albeit very slowly–on a personal project documenting native and indigenous cultures.

My favorite thing to photograph are manta rays. But my favorite place to photograph is Hawaii–that’s why I live there! I spend a lot of time traveling, but I definitely feel my creativity kick it up a notch whenever I’m home on the island. She is quite the muse! I think it’s really great to have a physical source of inspiration like this, and am curious to hear about other places in the world that have the same effect on you.

In fact, that’s also one of the reasons I enjoy PhotoBlog so much. In the short time I’ve been part of the family, I’ve got to know a lot of really great photographers. Being able to experience and appreciate their journey through the storytelling platform here on PhotoBlog has been keeping me motivated to create my own adventures to share. It’s a double win!

Hi I am Becky or Hoosier at HeArt. I have been part of Photoblog off again and on again since 2010. Sometimes I just get busy and can’t keep up! Sorry!
I was born on a farm in the state of Indiana, the land of corn, basketball and the Indy 500, but now live in South Carolina. I teach art in an elementary school and usually love my job but there are days I want to pull my hair out with crazy kids!! I see photography as just another art form and when I take a picture it is like painting a quick painting!
I am so glad to see the forum back, there was times I was able to get good advice on photography from my friends.

Hey fellow bloggers,

I am a busy student in the chilly tundra of North Dakota, and I am passionate about food, fitness and eating healthy! I don’t have a fancy camera; I literally take my pictures with my iPhone, but I wanted a place to post my recipes and share my passion for food! I hope there are some foodies out there who like food photography as much as I do, and that I can inspire some of you to enjoy the healthy, simple and natural things in life.

(Jay Boggess) #18

Hello everyone! My name is Jay I’m a 71-year old retired Counselor working mostly with kids in lockup and with police, going to domestic disturbances. I’m an ex-hippie, from San Antonio, TX, now living in Port Angeles, WA. I love music, visual arts, cooking, travel, physical fitness and Pickleball (see usapa.org if you are unfamiliar). I have recently taken up photography, in a semi-serious manner, after buying a good used Nikon D5200. Previously, my experience with photography was of the “point and hope”, pocket camera variety, set on fully auto…It’s been a real challenge learning all the ways to control a DSLR, especially in the manual mode! But, as is said, life is for learning, so I’m having a blast experimenting with my new hobby! It’s such a treat to be able to see all the wonderful images uploaded to PB, by talented, friendly, helpful and interesting folks, from all over the world! What a joy!!!

(Rhey Alcantara) #19

Hi guys! My name is Rhei. I’m 23 years old and I’m new here and to the world of photography. I’ve recently started taking photographs just a couple of weeks ago. I’m also an illustrator of a publishing house. I hope to learn more from you because I know there are lots of professional photographers here. haha. And also, I want to have friends from this community.

(Ram Ya) #20

Great to have you here, Jay! I myself look forward to the educational content on our official blog specifically for DSLRs. We can also share knowledge here in forums as well

(Jay Boggess) #21

Thanks, Ram. I’ve been super busy lately, since I returned from Texas, but I still try to squeeze in as much time as I can on PB. I love seeing & commenting on all the fine offerings members post here. It’s always an uplifting treat for me during my daily duty schedule…I certainly appreciate all you & your crew do to make this such a wonderful creative outlet for all of us! I’ll participate, as best I can, without letting my other obligations suffer too much neglect (((grin))). Keep up the great work! We’re so fortunate to have your exceptional leadership, friendliness & artistry!
