One day, this past summer, we took our grandchildren to a local park with a playground and large lake with ducks, swans, and other fowl . Of course the only thing the grandkids were interested in were the swings, climbing bars and other play equipment that senior adults shy away from.
As they were doing their thing I was off doing mine. One of the things I have learned from this 52 week photography challenge is to open my eyes and see things that most people never see. Photography teaches you that.
As I strolled around looking for something to make a picture of I saw this old, gnarled tree. As I walked around the base and viewed it's twisted form I stood at this spot and this is what I saw - the curved neck, head with a large green eye and beak of a swan in the bark of that tree!
Open your eyes, you never know what you will see!
