Big Tree...Little Sprout

The description for this challenge said, "Some of the most famous landscapes in the world feature a tree. Time to see what you can do."

During a recent visit with our son in Cheyenne, WY., I noticed this huge tree in his front yard. I believe it had eight gigantic trunks however, I couldn't frame the whole tree without lots of surrounding and distracting elements to do justice to this colossal tree.

As I walked around the base I saw this flower pot with a sprouting plant wedged in between the trunks. I thought, "Here is an offspring being protected by it's guardian."

I set up my camera on a tripod, composed and took this picture which I call "Big Tree...Little Sprout!" I think the red wood chips also compliment the red in the bark.

Challenge: go out and shoot a tree!
