Lest We Forget - This Is The Price Of Freedom!

The American Cemetery & Memorial in Hamn, Luxembourg City, Luxembourg. There are 5,076 American Service Members buried here.

On 22 occasions two brothers rest side-by-side in adjacent graves. Most of the interred died during the Battle of the Bulge which was fought nearby in winter 1944/1945. General George S. Patton is buried here, facing his troops. I took these pictures two years ago while visiting our daughter and family in Germany.

There are over 60,000 American dead from WWII who are buried at the American military cemeteries in Europe. Let's not forget that freedom is not free!

While thousands died for my freedom...only ONE died for my soul! Let us worship Him today! "If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed" (John 8:36).

Great post - a sobering reminder of the price that was paid for our physical and spiritual freedom!
