Well, this is a site that you don't want to see especially when you hear your Grandmother's stories during the war.

This tunnel was built by the Japanese to keep Filipinos and American soldiers imprisoned. And also, a means of transportation of equipments, passageways for a point of entry and exit. So, as not to be detected by the American soldiers.

This is the point of entry of the tunnel. The bars in the front is a deep well where they get their water supply.

Our guide describes this cage as a prison for Filipinos and American soldiers. He said the Japanese would try to fit 5-10 men in this small cage. Pretty! Nasty and brutal of them.

I bet some of these soldiers hadn't gone crossovers to the spiritual world. For, the tunnel felt too lonely and sad.

I ended the tunnel journey with a thankful heart that I was not born and raised in that era.

May we all learned from the mistakes of the past and make sure it doesn't happen again.
